De wet van Schotland met betrekking tot wegvoertuigen komt uit 1984. PLEV\u2019s worden niet bij naam genoemd in de wet maar de wet wordt wel ge\u00efnterpreteerd om het gebruik van elektrische skateboards te verbieden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>The adult electric scooter is powered partly by a battery motor and is therefore classified as Personal Light Electric Vehicle (PLEV) by the Department for Transport (DfT), making it illegal to use on UK roads and pavements. However, it is legal to use them on private land and property.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Toch zijn er genoeg e-skaters in Edinburgh die op een elektrisch skateboard rondrijden en daarmee naar hun werk gaan.
